Hunting
When Oklahoma achieved statehood in 1907, hunting wasn’t recreation – it was necessary for survival. Today, the legacy continues as hunters set their sights on Oklahoma game. Deer, wild turkey, hogs, quail and elk – more than 760 species roam our plains, and Oklahoma hunting grounds invite you to hunt, fish, explore and get in touch with your primitive instincts. Most of our hunting venues boast full-service guest ranches, lodges or cabins, and many offer alternative types of outdoor recreation, including black-powder hunting, skeet shooting, bowhunting and fly-fishing.
