Museum of the Great Plains

The museum features special collections & its exhibits spotlight the cultural & natural history of the Great Plains of North America. View intriguing Native American exhibits of the region, including the Tingley Collection that includes over 3,200 pieces of 20th century Plains Indian artifacts assembled by the Tingley family of Anadarko. A research library & archives are also on-site. Outdoor grounds feature the Red River Trading Post, a replica of the posts which existed in the region in the 1830s and 1840s & the site of spring & fall encampments open to the public. Museum is accredited by the American Association of Museums. Days/Hours: Monday - Saturday 10am to 5pm & Sundays 1pm - 5pm.
