Pumpkin Picking

Autumn Adventures!

Abby Paugh October 10, 2018

With Halloween quickly approaching, most fall attractions are getting ready to close for the season. However, after all the rain we had earlier in the month, some are staying open into November to give families and school groups another chance to enjoy the fall fun!

As the days get cooler and shorter, a visit to a pumpkin patch or maze is the perfect opportunity to get the kids active and out of the house! Although each destination is different, you can guarantee a great experience for your kids -- and for you too!

Last week I visited pumpkin patches on opposite sides of the state -- Kenny Farms in Woodward and Rockin R Farm in Tahlequah. Both days were beautiful fall days and the kids visiting the farms were loving every moment! Below are pictures from my adventures. Find your own adventure at OklahomaAgritourism.com!

Caroline Kenny loves her furry alpaca friend, even when the alpaca doesn't cooperate very well (see below).

It takes careful searching and inspection to find the perfect pumpkin in the patch.

After making it through Rockin R's corn maze, the kids raced for the playground!
