Shooting Star History
History isn't just the past but is alive & well in the present at Shooting Star. While many museums just let you see the past with our historic skills you are encouraged to experience it first-hand. We are not just costumed "re-enactors". Everyday life for us includes hunting, herbal medicines/lore, fiber arts, saddle making, custom gunstocks, Victorian dressmaking & pattern drafting, historic cooking & so much more. Our collections include period clothing, big game heads, antique spinning wheels, farm antiques. Our expansive backyard, on our centennial farm, is a great setting for parties & gatherings. Tour groups are welcome by appointment. Call for pricing.
