Get your hands dirty on Sollymon Farm

Claremore, OK

Sollymon Farm, located in Claremore, offers farm fresh produce and eggs for purchase or U-Pick. All the animals at Sollymon Farm are heritage breeds such as Dexter cattle, Tunis sheep as well as Plymouth Rock and Orpington chickens.

Sara Causey is caretaker of all the animals. Sara researches breeds as well as products to grow on her farm. "As a member of the Livestock Conservancy, one of my long-term goals is to breed and sell heritage breed livestock. So if you're looking for a pet, a 4H animal, starting a herd of your own, or taking an animal for processing, I can help."

You can visit the farm to purchase eggs or produce and to see the farm animals. Sara also believes there is no substitute for getting your hands dirty and learning on-the-job training. "Each season is a new set of challenges and learning experiences," said Sara.
